Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones www.silicontechsolutions.in (the “Site”) uses, and how you can control them.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to site owners. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your computer.
2. Cookies we use
We use a small number of cookies grouped into the categories below.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the Site to function correctly. They do not collect any personally identifiable information and cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| __theme | Remembers your light/dark mode preference so the page renders correctly on return visits. | 1 year |
Analytics cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Site — which pages are most popular, where visitors come from, and how long they stay. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymised; it is not used to identify individual users. We use Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics for this purpose.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated identifier. | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics (GA4) | Persists session state and stores campaign information. | 2 years |
| _fbp | Firebase | Used by Firebase to identify and track usage sessions. | 3 months |
Analytics scripts are initialised only after the page is fully loaded (via requestIdleCallback) to minimise any impact on page performance.
3. Cookies we do NOT use
- Advertising / targeting cookies — we do not run retargeting campaigns or use ad-network cookies (no Google Ads, Meta Pixel, etc.).
- Cross-site tracking — we do not share cookie data with third parties for behavioural advertising.
- Authentication cookies — the Site has no user login system; no session or auth cookies are set.
4. Managing and disabling cookies
You have several options to control cookies:
Browser settings
All modern browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of the Site (e.g. your theme preference will not be saved). Refer to your browser's help documentation:
Google Analytics opt-out
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. This works across all websites that use Google Analytics.
5. Third-party cookies
Some third-party services embedded in or linked from the Site — such as Google Analytics and Google Calendar (for meeting bookings) — may set their own cookies subject to their respective privacy and cookie policies. We have no control over these cookies. We recommend reviewing the policies of any third-party service you interact with.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices change or as required by law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
